Review
Annie's back!
Who's hungry for some good, clean, and not to mention CHEAP festive fun?
Today I played Hidden Cats 8: Happy New Year, and I'm not lying to you when I say this: before I played this game I had a stomach ache and I was feeling anxious. After a ginger ale and 156 cats found, I feel SO much better.
If you've never played a Hidden Cats game, it's basically a cheat code to get you smiling when you're feeling worked up. You pan around this enormous illustration full of tiny details, and click on cats wherever you see them. Easy! some of the cats are TINY and you'll find yourself wondering, how is that a cat? But also, how did I know it was a cat? Maybe this game is actually really good... and it IS. This one is all themed after the winter holiday season so it got me feeling festive, too.
Every time you find a cat, it colours them in and they make a cute little meow sound. Then when you finish an area, that part of the picture gets coloured in completely! So satisfying.
The music has that kinda royalty-free vibe to it, but I honestly liked it! There's a bunch of tracks and they rotate often enough that it never gets annoying.
I also genuinely love the art in this game. I love a good busy picture and Hidden Cats defintely captures that vibe.
Final Thoughts
If you're feeling bored after your New Year's festivities and you have $1.08 to spare, try out Hidden Cats 8!
