Intro
Annie here!
How much time do you have? Barely any? Perfect, I've got a quick one for you today.
This week's game is Rewindead, a fast-paced shooter where you get in quick and eliminate the target. Then you do it all over again, but this time you have to eliminate your past self first.
Review
I wasn't really expecting to enjoy Rewindead. The mechanic seemed gimmicky to me, but it's totally not. I think what this game does best is how fast paced it is, while still requiring you to think strategically on your feet.
You jump into a level, tear through a couple baddies, and take out the VIP all in about 20 seconds. Then when you do it again, you start from a different spot, and your past self appears as a ghost you have to hunt.
The level design is really great, it immerses you in this brutal, no-nonsense assassin mindset really quickly. The levels are so well designed, there are times when you might get taken out by your past self. How cool is that?
This game is so fast-paced, my 15 minutes of playtime felt like an hour-long session.
Final Thoughts
Rewindead isn't out yet but the demo is free and has a lot of really exciting levels to play through. I highly recommend giving it a try if you have ten minutes to spare.
