Sasha here! ๐
This one is inspired by the Mystery Flesh Pit National Park. Splunk the flesh pit to search for your missing co-worker Bill.
The controls for this game are pretty fun in themselves. You have a left and right hand which map to their respective mouse buttons. You can pickup various items this way but ultimately your hands are mainly used for navigating through the flesh pit by grabbing the walls.
At the start you learn how to interact with the environment through your supervisor's ramblings, who's on the other end of a phone line. He says there's nothing to worry about, he's been working the pits for 20 years and nothing has ever happened. After a couple interactions he sends you off on your own.
You're essentially just 2 hands, but the way the supervisor talks to you using literal made up words pulls you into the role of a confused employee who's in over their head, and not to any fault of their own. I'm sure this experience is relatable to most. It's likely just intended for the humour but it's certainly effective at bringing the player closer to the player character, increasing the immersive-ness of an otherwise unrealistic game.
Final Thoughts
You can play the game in your browser over on Itch. Give it shot if you're into climbing games and aren't turned off by caverns made of flesh... although, it's not realistic flesh.
