The Loopler

ยป Roguelite | Casual | Strategy

The Loopler is a idle-like roguelite simulation of a car driving in loops. Pick upgrades, place gates and sit back and relax as the mesmerizing loop gets going and the dopamine hits of numbers going up fills your brain. See if you can go endless and beyond.

Intro

Annie here!

Are you tired? I know I am, so I've picked the perfect game to play if you want to sit back and watch the numbers go up.

Review

If you like strategy games for the reward system and not for the challenge, I highly recommend this one. The Loopler is not an intensely punishing strategy game. It's a satisfying, "number go up" roguelite-type game that's closer to Cookie Clicker than Balatro.

It took me a couple runs to get the hang of it (don't make fun of me), and during that time I wasn't sure if I would recommend it. But then I figured out my strategy and had the most insane run. It was so glorious I knew my readers deserved to know.

In The Loopler, you upgrade skills and gates to make your little car drive faster, preserve fuel, and most of all, increase your score. The devs did a great job of keeping the scope low with just the right amount of mechanics to manage.

Final Thoughts

If you're exhausted from a long day of work, walking through slush and ice (hello fellow Winnipeggers), or you just need some easy fun, don't doomscroll on your phone. Play The Loopler instead!

Coming Up...

Remember Generation Exile from last week? One of the devs let me know today that 1.0 is releasing in two weeks! Don't forget to send some love their way with a wishlist or a follow. It's one of the most ambitious debut games from a studio I've seen, and I think they deserve all the flowers.

See you next week!
